'66 Chevelle In It's Original Color

Another project done and on its way home!  We are super proud of this one!  Our great customer trusted us to bring it back to OEM spec in its Aztec Bronze paint!  They originally wanted it in black but they trusted us on going with the original color (no pressure!?!)  Fortunately they’re happy!  And why not, this car looks really distinctive. The customer will finish the restoration at home.  We’re truly grateful for the confidence they showed in us. And we can’t wait to see this classic from 1966 cruising the streets and maybe dazzling folks at some car shows this summer!

70 Chevelle Gets New Glass

A nice Saturday at Blue Sky Performance and Restoration  to install FESLER BUILT Pilkington Classics flush glass on this 1970 Chevelle.  This of course would not be possible without the one and only @glasscarautoglass.qq!  Clean lines and a great look, these pieces are great update for any classic!

1991 Mustang Gets Some Extra Muscle

How do you fit 600+ horsepower under the hood of a 1991 Mustang Fox Body?  First, you pick the right shop and then buy the right parts.  Here’s just some of what we’re doing on this project.

The engine is a built 363 Stroker with a Dart block and AFR Heads.  Power goes to the wheels through a Tremec 5-speed transmission and a built 8.8 rear end with 3:55 gears.

With a goal north of 600 HP we needed a power adder.  We selected  an On 3 Performance Turbo Kit with upgraded intercooler and larger turbo.

And since the stock computer has no chance of managing all of this, there’s a new Stand Alone engine management computer.

To keep this Fox handling like a dream, we’ve installed a full QA1 Suspension package.

And to to control all of this power and performance, New Edge Cobra Brakes

After the performance upgrades are finished, this project will move on to the body shop to continue the journey.  We can’t wait to see the customer driving this one.  We’ll keep you posted.

Great Stories of Classic Cars Found in Barns

There are as many stories about finding someone’s dream cars as there are dream cars.  Here are some good stories collected on Hagerty.  Take a look and see if any of them sound like your story.

1969 Camaro Z28 Gets a Fresh Start

Blue Sky finished this project and delivered it to the customer in time for the 2018 driving season.  If you saw us at the Memorial Motor Madness car show at M&M Mars last Memorial Day, this car was on display.  Among the many neat features of this car are the ghost strips that hide until the sun comes out.

We at Blue Sky are very proud of this restoration, and of the special relationship we were able to build with this customer.
